Self-check, investigator style

Each profile looks harmless. Together they don't.

A handle reused here, a park named there, a dog's name on both. Paste up to three of your own public profiles. The page marks every clue, then draws which clues the profiles share - the bridges a stranger would use to join them. Ask for the read to hear what someone could piece together, and get each profile back with those clues trimmed.

Try a sample:

1 Your profiles

Only your own, or with the owner's say-so. For each: a label you choose ("Running app", "Work profile" - no need to name the site), the handle, the display name, then the bio and a few recent posts or captions. Nothing is sent anywhere until you ask for the read.

    Clues, marked in your text

    How the page finds clues
    • It reads only the text on this page with simple patterns - it does not search, visit or look anything up. It misses clues a person would spot, so read your text too.
    • High risk: an email or phone number, a street address or corner, a live-location phrase ("heading to ... right now"), a birthday. Medium: a place, a workplace or school, a routine (a day with a time), a pet or family member's name, a display name, a link. Low: a handle, an age or class year.
    • Shared: the same clue on two or more profiles. Handles count as the same when they match after dropping punctuation and trailing digits; "Dana K." and "Dana Kowalczyk" count as one name. A link is strong when a handle, a full name, a contact detail, a link or an address is shared, or three clues are.
    • High exposure: any high-risk clue, or a routine plus a place. Moderate: anything shared, or two medium clues. Low: neither. These are this page's rules of thumb, not a standard.

    3 Ask for the read

Metered. The read says what a stranger could piece together from this text and how the accounts join, gives every shared or high-risk clue a remove or blur fix, and rewrites each profile with the fixes applied. The page checks the reply against its own clue list.

    Take it with you

The .md carries the clue table, the page's flags, the read and the rewrites. The .csv has one row per clue with the profiles it is on and the read's fix. The files stay on your device.
